USCRI in Des Moines, Iowa

In the neighborhoods across Des Moines, Iowa, we open doors for uprooted people, helping the world’s most vulnerable rebuild their lives. We are part of a nationwide network that breaks through social, cultural, and economic barriers so previously interrupted lives can flourish. The first welcome begins with navigating American culture, laying solid foundations for a fresh start, and making essential community connections to successfully integrate into our community.

Community Spotlight: Welcome to Des Moines!

USCRI Des Moines helps refugees and immigrants to gain personal independence and economic self-sufficiency. We host trainings and workshops that assist refugees and immigrants in becoming full participants in all aspects of American life. These workshops encourage discussion and open communication.

Refugees and immigrants are invited to attend these workshops, which are taught by former clients, USCRI Des Moines staff, volunteers, and service providers. We are currently planning a variety of workshops and trainings. For more information, give our office a call!
